He was appointed director of football at Swindon last season and it was announced that he would be taking the training, signing new players and picking the team.
Swindon got relegated and afterwards he said in an interview on goals on Sunday that he was just an advisor to the club as a favour to the chairman and had nothing to do with the playing side.
